Halogen G9 Light bulbs
Halogen G9 light bulbs come in two finishes, clear and frosted. Clear finish gives good optical control in the reflectors, so that the light can be directed accurately. This finish gives a more sparkly beam. The frosted finish gives a much softer light that is glare free.
G9 light bulbs are a mains voltage lamp that does not need a transformer, and they are fully dimmable on a domestic dimmer switch.
Halogen G9 light bulbs are 240V and come in four different ratings: 25W, 40W, 60W and 75W.
G9 bulbs can give up to 2000 hours of light, twice the life of a candle bulb that gives out 1000 hours of light. On average, compared to candle lamps, the halogen G9 lamp emits 25% more light than a similar wattage candle lamp.
This type of bulb contains lower pressure gas making it safe to use in unshielded light fittings. There are no restrictions on their burning position, meaning they can be operated at any angle.
